If you are looking for a waist and tummy faja, you deserve an honest answer before you pay: a faja shapes while you wear it. It does not burn fat, cause weight loss, or change your body permanently. Any brand promising that is selling you something else.
What a good faja does
- Compresses and smooths from the first moment. The abdomen looks flatter and the waist more defined under clothes, while the garment is on.
- Supports. Many customers wear one for the feeling of abdomen and lower back support through a work day.
- Adjusts. With three rows of front hooks you choose the compression and increase it as your body gets used to it. It feels firm the first hours and becomes comfortable by day two or three. That is normal.
What it does not do
- It does not reduce measurements permanently. A faja is a garment, not a treatment.
- It does not replace medical or post-surgical compression garments. If your doctor prescribed one, follow that indication.
- It should never take your breath. If you cannot breathe comfortably, the size is wrong or it compresses where it should not. Silueta Fina bodysuits leave the bust completely free.
Signs of a well-made faja
- Boned waistband. Without boning, waistbands roll down when you sit. It is the category's number one complaint.
- Flat edges. Thick seams and raised lace print through jeans and dresses.
- Crotch zipper on bodysuits, to use the bathroom without undressing.
- Free size exchange. Half of bad reviews are really a wrong size with no free way to fix it. Ours is free for 30 days, shipping both ways on us.
Which one is right for you?
For dresses and events, the bodysuit faja ($119, S to 3XL). For jeans and daily wear, the shaping shorts ($79, S to 2XL). Undecided? Read the full comparison, and check the size guide before choosing.
An honest faja feels snug, not tight, and shows in the mirror the same day. That is what we sell, and nothing more.
